In all the struggles of life, I was able to find a purpose and share them with you.

As I start this new journey of mine, there are many fears and plenty barriers. For my children and for myself, I will prevail and succeed.

About Me

My given name is Jeremy Laquette and I am a full time Father of four strong and resilient young ones. I live on Treaty 1 Territory in Winnipeg, Manitoba. My parents were residential school and day school survivors. So I am a product of my environment. I grew up in and out of CFS "care" (Child Family Services). I joined a gang, started selling drugs, and spent a lot of my time incarcerated. With all that said, I was fortunate enough to get out of the lifestyle and given another chance to do life over. Never forgetting the ones I have lost on the way through the struggle.

Now I am college graduate from Red River College Polytechnic in the studies of Plumbing. I have a career and I am now able to provide for my family.

I was lost, but now I am finding my way. Getting back in touch with my culture with one teaching at a time.
